In the times when the efficiency of cancer treatment does not look promising, it is hard to overestimate the importance of cancer prevention. Experts argue that healthy lifestyle and caring about life and work environment could contribute to reduction of new cancer cases by over a third. Many of the cancer cases are related to smoking, alcohol abuse, obesity and unhealthy diet.

Each opportunity to remind women of the necessity of regular cervical screening tests is crucial.
It is these tests that can reveal the disease when it is still curable. The test itself is completely safe and painless.
Hundreds of thousands of new cancer cases – this is what we have to face in Poland. Only half of the patients have chances to be cured. But we can change it. You should just report for the preventive tests early enough.

Christmas is a magical time of year and should be spent with family and closest friends.
That is why on 19 December in the 10th Military Research Hospital and Polyclinic in Bydgoszcz the Commanding Officer, personnel, guests and friends of the Hospital gathered together to celebrate the upcoming Christmas.
Apart from Christmas wishes and thanks for the entire year that is coming to an end, the Commanding Officer Col Krzysztof Kasprzak MD PhD gave special credit to all of those who contribute to the development of the Hospital every day.

Today, we were honoured to host the representatives of the Nicolaus Copernicus’s Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region Polish Scouting and Guiding Association (ZHP), who ceremonially handed over The Peace Light of Bethlehem to Commanding OfficerCol Krzysztof Kasprzak MD PhD and gave their best Christmas wishes. The Peace Light of Bethlehem was previously handed over to the ZHP scouts by the Slovakian scouts during a Mass in the Saint Joseph’s Church in the town of Svit in Slovakia. This marked the beginning of the Peace Light’s journey across Poland, which will last until 24 December.
Commanding Officer Col Krzysztof Kasprzak MD PhD gave his warm Christmas and New Year’s wishes to the entire Polish Scouting and Guiding Association (ZHP) along with small gifts for the scouts.
