“Our homeland is our earthly mother.
Poland is a special mother.
With troubled history, especially in a space of last centuries.
It is a mother that has suffered much with new sufferings still coming upon it.
Therefore, it must be loved with a special love”.John Paul II
Poland was erased from the world’s maps in 1795, following its third partition. It was only during the First World War that the hope for independence was brought to life. The independence reinstitution process was gradual, so the exact date when Poland reappeared on the maps of Europe is hard to state. The eleventh of November commemorates the transfer of power to Józef Piłsudski, marking the restoration of a Polish State, although Poland had a hard time keeping that independence at later stages. To stress the importance of the National Independence Day, relevant celebrations were held on 6 November 2014 at the 10th Military Research Hospital and Policlinic in Bydgoszcz.

10th Military Research Hospital and Policlinic again made its way to one of the top positions of the “Gold Hundred” of the national “Safe Hospital” ranking prepared by the Centre for Quality Monitoring in Healthcare and the Blue Media press. The ranking included over 240 hospitals, which is one third of all medical centres operating in the country. The ranking ranks 100 best Polish hospitals receiving the highest scores (points) in a questionnaire which contains questions about healthcare quality, hospital infrastructure, condition of buildings and hospitals’ financial standing.
